DIY Car in 3D?
June 15th, 2009 | by Yu_Kito |The technological age is going deeper. Now it is predicted that in closest 10 years 3D printers will be able to produce … cars.
Well, actually, just some parts of them, as vehicles, but still, the progress is obvious. Of course, there should be some overcomes to reach it, described below:
- The robustness of 3D printed materials should be increased. What’s the point of producing such cars with a fear of even touching them?
- Build chamber sizes also need to be improved and enlarged. It’s required for some seperate car components.
- An assembly required, because we need to know how would they be put together into a complete, tested, functional and safe auto.
- A lot of work concerning the design needs to be done.
Achieving an in-home car printing is a long and a hard way. But the question is do really people want it?
